Mom's Got Millions… at Airport Security?
I was in Perth this weekend for work.
Laptop out. Bag through the scanner. Body scan. The usual routine.
Then an airport security officer looked at my T-shirt and said:
"Mom's Got Millions… I'd love to be one!"
I smiled and said, "You definitely can."
It caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting anyone to notice the logo, let alone say something out loud.
But it was one of those moments that prompted me to think.
Because behind that comment was something real. Curiosity. Hope. And maybe a quiet question of is that even possible for me?
What Mom's Got Millions actually means
Mom's Got Millions isn't about having a million dollars in the bank.
That's not the point.
And it's definitely not just for a select few. I've worked with doctors, lawyers and engineers - people considered among the brightest in their fields, who still feel lost when it comes to money. Being smart doesn't automatically mean feeling confident about your finances.
MGM is for the everyday Australian. People working hard, raising families, building careers, and trying to make sense of money while juggling everything else life throws at them.
The purpose is simple: to help you become financially literate. To understand your numbers.
To feel confident making decisions.
Because when you understand money, something shifts.
You stop guessing. You stop avoiding. You start choosing.
And that's where things begin to change.

Three questions worth sitting with
That airport moment was light. But the question behind it matters.
If you've ever felt unsure about money, even while earning well and doing all the right things, here are three questions worth sitting with.
1. What does "enough" actually look like for you?
Most people are chasing more without ever defining what enough is.
More income, more savings, more assets. But more… for what?
Enough is personal. It's the lifestyle you want, the flexibility you need, and the level of financial pressure you're willing to carry.
Without defining it, you can earn more and still feel like you're falling behind. So pause and ask yourself: what does a life that actually works look like for me?
And what does it realistically cost?
2. Do you understand your numbers enough to feel in control?
You don't need a perfect spreadsheet. But you do need clarity.
What's coming in, what's going out, what are your fixed commitments, and how much buffer do you actually have?
Most financial stress doesn't come from the numbers themselves. It comes from not knowing. When you understand your numbers, even at a basic level, you move from reacting to deciding. And that shift builds confidence faster than any savings target will.
3. Are your money choices aligned with your priorities?
This is where it gets real.
Most of us say we value freedom, family, flexibility. But do our spending habits actually reflect that?
This isn't about guilt. It's about alignment. When your money choices reflect what genuinely matters to you, things start to feel clearer and calmer. Not perfect, just clearer.
Why this matters
That moment at airport security wasn't really about the T-shirt.
It was a reminder that people don't just want millions. They want confidence. Clarity. And a sense that they're doing okay.
Financial literacy shouldn't feel exclusive or complicated. It should be accessible, practical and part of everyday life.
Because the goal isn't to chase a number.
The goal is to build a life that actually works.
